Our Elders’ Prayer Meeting is a dedicated time when the spiritual leaders of the church gather to pray specifically for the congregation, the pastors, and the overall direction of the church. Rather than focusing on decisions or agendas, the emphasis is on seeking God’s wisdom, interceding for spiritual health, unity, and protection, and listening for the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
It is also a time for anyone from our congregation to come and get prayer for physical and spiritual needs that they are facing in their life through the laying on of hands and the prayer of the elders according to James 5.
This meeting is important because it places prayer at the center of leadership, strengthens pastoral covering, and aligns the elders’ hearts with God’s will, ensuring that the church is led not just by plans or strategies, but by spiritual discernment and dependence on the Lord.
