This week’s message from Luke 15 reminds us that Jesus came to seek and save the lost—not to shame them, but to rescue them. We explored the traps that lead people away from God: impatience, independence, indifference, and indulgence. But the heart of the Father is full of grace, pursuing not only the prodigal but also the self-righteous. The gospel calls us to recognize our need for rescue and to celebrate repentance, not resist it. Jesus, our true Elder Brother, gave up everything to bring us home. The question remains: will we join the celebration of the lost being found?
