We value Jesus. His life as an example of how we should live, His death as a penalty for our sin, and His resurrection as the promise of eternal life with Him. Jesus will be at the center of everything we do!
Everything we do is about changing lives. When Jesus intersects our lives he gives us the ability to overcome. Marriages are healed, addictive behaviors are broken, miracles are experienced, greed is replaced with generosity, rejection becomes acceptance and death is overcome by life.
Everyone has a place determined by the unique gifts, talents and background God has given them. All believers are called to be a part of the team, and each has a different and important contribution to make (1 Corinthians 12:15-15; 1 Corinthians 12:14-26)
We pursue God with passion, sincerity and a desire to be changed into His likeness. Worship must be done in Spirit and in Truth and we value the commandment of God to love Jesus with all our heart, mind, and strength. We must personally strive to make character and integrity the real measure of our lives. (Matthew 7:21-23)
We are sent by the Spirit to restore all things to God through Jesus Christ. God sent Jesus to Earth to take on human form and live within the culture. Jesus came so that all people, places and things could be restored to a right relationship with God. In the same way, we believe we are missionaries sent by God’s Spirit into our culture to restore all things to God through Jesus. (John 1:14; 20:21; Colossians 1:19; 2 Corinthians 5:16-21)
As God’s people, we have seen first hand how the power of prayer is able to awaken change in people, churches and nations. The early church were a people of prayer who saw the supernatural effects of God answering those prayers and the church grew exponentially. Without the priority of prayer, our church will never be effective in the work the Lord has for us to do. (James 5:16; Matthew 18:19-20)
We are a group of people who call ourselves a family. When someone trusts Jesus Christ as Savior, he experiences ‘new birth’ and enters into God’s family. He shares God’s divine nature and can call God “Father”. Jesus once said “Whoever does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.” We understand that God has accepted each one of us and in turn has adopted us into His Family, where He is our Father and we are His children. We value this kind of community where everyone is a part of the Family of God. (John 3:1-7; 1 Peter 1:22-25; 2 Peter 1:3-4; Mark 3:35; Romans 8:15-16)
We stress the importance of being educated biblically because biblical principles teach us how to properly relate to God as well as to our fellowman (Matthew 22:37-40; cf. Deuteronomy 6:5; Deuteronomy 10:12; Deuteronomy 30:6). The teaching of spiritual and moral values to children is the backbone of any nation and provides nations with moral stability.
Our mission is to live among our community in such a way that creates explosive transformation in and throughout the neighborhoods represented by our church. Constantly asking how our presence in the community is leading them to a greater revelation of God’s presence. We strive to be the Light of the World and the salt of the earth through selfless acts of service and one day we desire to hear those words “Well done, thy Good and Faithful Servant” (Matthew 5:13-14; 25:23)
We believe that God requires us to do justice to set the oppressed free, sharing our food with the hungry, clothing the poor and providing shelter to those in need. We believe that when Jesus returns He will reflect on how we treated the least of these and it is our understanding that as we do it unto the least we have done it unto the Lord. The Bible teaches us that religion that God accepts is reaching out to the orphans and the widows, and we will do our best to seek out every opportunity to serve these people. (Micah 6:8; Isaiah 58:6-9; Matthew 25; James 1:27)
True godliness blesses rather than curses and can only be attained by an attitude, atmosphere and culture in the church which promotes blessing and life. The issues we face are Life vs. Death Our approach to the commands of God must be saturated with a desire to see life and blessing for every person. We are building a culture and atmosphere which goes beyond preference and traditions to a life-giving spirit which seeks God’s best for every person. (Romans 6:23; 1 Corinthians 13:4-8)
